1. Metrologist / Calibration Technician

The Metrologist / Calibration Technician we are looking for will provide immediate support for all aspects of calibration, troubleshooting and repair services in accordance with established procedures standards. The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, possess a strong commitment to customer service and excel in a team-orientated environment.

Calibrations will be performed both on-site (Hudson, NH) in our environmentally controlled lab and off-site at our customer facilities (some overnight travel is required).


  • Perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting and repairs, as necessary, data collection and report completion on a wide range of dimensional, electrical (electronic), electro-mechanical and mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE).
  • Use established internal procedures as well as industry standards, manufacturer procedures, etc. for the proper calibration and troubleshooting of M&TE.
  • Maintain and follow ISO related procedures (9001 and 17025) customer specific procedures and other required documentation.
  • Complete required documentation to certify the verification and calibration of M&TE.
  • Use a variety of diagnostic tools and standard equipment to isolate malfunctions of M&TE.
  • Provide recommendations for improving calibration processes.
  • Design and develop new calibration methods and test aids, when required.
  • Accurately determine and request support services, internally and through supplier chains, as necessary.
  • Self-manage time to obtain maximum efficiency.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills in both written and oral forms.
  • Always focus on providing the best service possible to our customers and fellow employees.
  • Excel in a team-orientated environment.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Follow company policies and standard operating procedures (SOP).

Metrology Knowledge and Skills

  • Must have in-depth, detailed knowledge of the metrology, mathematics, and applicable technical disciplines required to perform the described duties.
  • Sample proficiency requirements include: Amp Meters, Balances, Clamp Meters, CMM's, Data Loggers, Force Gages, Frequency Counters, Gage Blocks, Hardness Testers, Height Gages, Hypot Testers, Load Cells, Mass, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Pressure/Vacuum, Temperature/Humidity, Thread Gages, Time and Weights.
  • Additional calibration experience (i.e. ISO, procedure writing, etc.) is a plus.

Desirable Education and Experience

  • BS degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Math, Science, or similar, is strongly desired.
  • Formal training in Metrology, previous Precision Measurement Equipment Course (PMEL)
  • 5+ years of Metrology experience is strongly desired.
  • Training or Certification Courses in calibration and repairs, or similar, is strongly desired.
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and database applications (data entry, not programming).
  • Working knowledge of Fluke 5520 and Pratt & Whitney Universal LabMaster is strongly desired.
  • Valid driver's license with positive driving record.

2. Customer Service

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to become an integral part of our Customer Service Team! You will help support our operation by handling and processing customer equipment, preparing calibration-related documentation and scheduling calibration technicians at customer facilities.


  • Adopt “Customer First” mind set for all work-related activity.
  • Be the primary point of contact between IN-CAL and our customers and vendors.
  • Prepare accurate Equipment Lists.
  • Safely handle customer equipment by receiving and preparing for calibration.
  • Examine records (such as bills, data, packing slips, purchase orders, job/proposals, etc.) and communicate necessary information to others.
  • Communicate customer needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Notify customers of findings, adjustments, recommendations, return of products, adjustments to customer invoices, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and vendors.
  • Act professional and courteous to everyone at all times.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills in both written and oral forms.
  • Work consistently to improve and streamline procedures.
  • Excel in a team-orientated environment
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Perform various other tasks, as needed.


  • Current daily use of Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry.
  • Knowledge of standard accounting procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; must be able to prioritize and multitask.
  • Aptitude for numbers.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Must posses strong data entry skills (efficient and error-free).

Desirable Education and Experience

  • Minimum Associates Degree
  • Previous customer service experience (proof of training or certification courses is strongly desired)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and 17025 standards and requirements is a plus
  • Accurate and efficient data entry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; must be able to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel) and various database programs
